Rent the Runway DAHLING

This post is long overdue! I attended a ball in January and looked all over for a gown including the mall, consignment shops and thrift stores. Finally I gave in and went to Rent The Runway and had an extraordinary experience.

1. They have a discount code for anyone who joins the site! I saved 25% off my order.

2. Designer gowns at serious discounts...yes DESIGNER gowns hun. The kind I could never personally afford.

3. RTR has pictured categories of women who wore various gowns based on YOUR stats: age, height, weight etc. THAT was such a life-saver to see how the gown I chose looked on other women with similar body types as me!!!

4. They deliver it quickly and include little gifts and a gown bag for you to keep. Return is also convenient with a self enclosed envelope.

5. The gown was BEAUTIFUL and finely made. The sequins gave it such an expensive look and feel. No shortcuts were taken with this dress. I think I looked FABULOUS and would definitely use them again!

Accomplishing Your Goals!

Yesterday I officially reached my goal of reading the entire bible!!! I had set a goal of doing it in a year but it took closer to two years and I'm not proud of that. The hardest part were a few books in the Old Testament (even my Joyce Meyer amplified version didn't help much with that!). During this time I read the New Testament at least five times over but I really struggled with the Old and even took long breaks neglecting my reading. I WILL read it all over again starting very soon but it really feels good to cross that finish line.

Bible Reading Tips:

 -  Read a little at at time. There's no need to read a chapter or big chunk at a time. We're supposed to read the word and MEDITATE on it. Some preachers from the olden days (19th century) even recommend reading one or two verses at a time and praying over them.

- Highlight passages that speak to you. I even write my loved ones names next to some passages I feel speak to me about them. Re-read any passages you have trouble understanding and take out the Amplified version which is great for dissecting the word. I use both the New King James Version and Amplified but I really prefer NKJV.

- Don't give up! There are so many gems in the bible I never even KNEW about until I dug deeply into it.

                                 on this day
